Local Author Book Launch: Keith Powell

Local author, publisher, and photographer, Keith Powell, is pleased to announce the official launch of two new books:

• Koocanusa Burning: A new historical novel which explores the enduring and often tragic impact of the damming of the Kootenay River at Libby, Montana and the subsequent flooding of the south country to form Koocanusa Lake.
• Abandoned Kootenays: A new 120-page coffee-table style book featuring full-colour images of old barns, rusty relics, phantom signs, and abandoned buildings from throughout the Kootenays. All photos and text by Keith G. Powell.

At the launch party, the author will perform a reading and presentation with a question-and-answer session to follow.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided, complements of the Library.

Additionally, attendees will have the chance to buy signed copies of both books! We can’t wait to see you there!
