‘Shoe Dog’ charts how Phil Knight, fresh out of college, borrowed 50 dollars from his father, to start a business selling low-cost running shoes out of the trunk of his car. He made 8,000 dollars that year, name his company Nike, which had a mere 30 billion in sales last year. ‘Shoe Dog’ tells of Knights remarkable life, and how he was able to introduce something new and dynamic which would eventually change the face of sports and footwear.
Film director turned author Chris Columbus (Home Alone, Harry Potter) concludes his House of Secrets trilogy with ‘Clash of Worlds’—as the series’ sibling heroes face the creepiest villains they have ever faced.

The Summer Reading Club Closing Ceremonies are this week! Please pre-register for the event on Tuesday, August 23rd at 1:00pm or on Wednesday, August 24th at 1:00pm.

We have partnered with the Cranbrook Garden Club to create a new collection of seeds, available at no charge. Now you can check out a packet of seeds, plant them, harvest the next generation of seeds, and return them so other people can check them out. Don’t forget the Library also has countless gardening books, magazines and even DVDs.
