At the Library for June 9th, 2015

Updated 2015/07/09

Jon Krakauer charts a series of sexual assaults at the University of Montana, hoping to illuminate the human toll this crime takes across all American campuses in ‘Missoula: Rape & Justice’.

‘Barney’s Let’s Go to the Farm’ and ‘Barney Just Imagine’ are two new shows featuring every youngster’s favorite purple dinosaur.

Preschool Story Time & Toddler Story Time are both on hiatus until the fall. The Summer Reading Club will soon be here. Registration begins on June 27th.  Please contact Eila at 250-426-4063 or emiller@cranbrookpubliclibrary.ca

Do you have an old wreck lying around? Would you like it towed for free? Contact us and we will arrange it for you and the proceeds will be donated to our Library Foundation, which will create new programming for our community.  Please call 250-426-4063 for more information.

The Friends of the Cranbrook Public Library are asking for donations for their upcoming garage sale.  Storage space is quite limited so donations can only be accepted on Friday, June 12th , the day before the sale itself.   In particular, household items such as pots, pans, tools, toys, jewelry, pictures, linens, lamps and gardening items are much appreciated, but the Friends will take whatever else you have except for large furniture.   Please bring items to the Manual Training School from 9 am to 5 pm.

Now is the time to declutter your home.  Don’t forget, clutter can be a source of stress, so purging can be good for your mental well-being.

The Garage Sale will be held Sat., June 13th from 9 am to 2 pm in the Manual Training Center adjacent to the Library.  Come on out and you’ll be sure to find hidden treasurers at great prices! 100 percent of the proceeds go to enhance the Library.

Our new website is up and running at https://www.cranbrookpubliclibrary.ca.

There is much more than this happening at the Library. Please check out our Facebook pages and our new website for more information and updates.

On display this month are the fantastic oil paintings of Bob Wardle.
