New This Week

September 14, 2009

Montreal’s Katherine Reichs one of the world’s only internationally accredited forensic anthropologists. Her knowledge of human remains has helped her identify individuals from mass graves in Rwanda, Guatemala, New York’s Ground Zero, and the Unknown Soldier tomb in France. Yet she is best known for her creation of Temperance ‘Bones’ Brennan; the main character in 12 of her novels, as well as the hit TV series. 206 BONES is her newest book, once again pitting the ever stubborn Brennan against a series of unexplained murders.

Younger readers should enjoy Brian Mull’s FABELEHAVEN series. While visiting their grandparents, 13-year-old Kendra, and 11-year-old Seth stumble across Fabelhaven, a type of nature preserve protecting various creatures from myth and legend.
